About Paradise Pawsome Pet Care and the Founder

 

​​Hello, I’m Dawn McGroarty — founder of Paradise Pawsome Pet Care and Healing Center, a heart-centered space dedicated to the holistic well-being of animals and the humans who love them.

 

For almost 30 years, I worked in the veterinary field — as both a veterinary assistant and a licensed technician. I also have an A.S. in Veterinary Science Technology — supporting animals through all stages of life. I served as a volunteer EMT and firefighter, a caregiver, and a pet-care department manager at Walmart. Each role deepened my understanding of compassion, service, and the sacred bond between all living beings.

 

Through the years, I felt called to bring together the best of both worlds: the science of veterinary care and the gentle wisdom of holistic healing. This vision became Paradise Pawsome Healing Center — where compassion meets energy, and love meets science.

Paradise Pawsome Pet Care is a pet parent education and wellness resource dedicated to helping pets and the people who love them. Drawing on almost 30 years of veterinary experience, I share compassionate, veterinary-informed education to help pet parents feel more informed, supported, and confident at every stage of their pets' lives.

Paradise Pawsome Pet Care is a holistic space dedicated to animal well-being through compassion, natural care, and energetic balance. This business blends scientific understanding with spiritual awareness — offering articles, insights, and gentle guidance on natural pet health, energy work, and mindful living. Whether you’re exploring essential oils, holistic nutrition, or the emotional bond you share with your animals, you’ll find wisdom, warmth, and love in every post. I just did not envision a blog website; this site is so much more than just an educational place. It is a healing space with different groups to join, a wellness store, and a shop where I created many different items from the heart. The algorithms can not define what I am, but this is actually who I am. This actually stemmed from what I was seeing in the office: terrified, sick, and overweight animals. I was going to go down the path of specializing in behavior and nutrition. But I was guided to create this place, this space.

My approach brings together veterinary knowledge with compassionate, whole-pet wellness—always with the understanding that educational and holistic resources support, rather than replace, appropriate professional veterinary care.

Now based in Big Pine Key, Florida, I draw daily inspiration from the ocean, the Key deer, and the quiet rhythm of nature. I share my home with my husband, Mario, and our three beloved fur companions — Einstein, Pumpkin, and Merlin — who remind me every day that animals are not just pets, but soulful teachers and healers in their own right.

 

Here at Paradise Pawsome, I write, create, and share from the heart — blending my veterinary experience with holistic practices such as Reiki, energy healing, sound therapy, and animal communication. My goal is to help people understand their animals on a deeper level — physically, emotionally, and energetically — and to inspire a world where healing happens through love, empathy, and connection.
